Raymond Wagenknecht, Patent Attorney & Registered Patent Agent

Raymond Wagenknecht is a Patent Attorney and Registered Patent Agent, and can draft and prepare patent applications for a variety of technologies. Ray has experience drafting patent applications for individual inventors, start up and mid-size companies and biotechnology companies. His experience also includes replying to office actions, and filing petitions and responses with the USPTO for a variety of technologies. Ray has experience with medical device patents, immunoassay patents, pharmaceutical patents, DNA, RNA and protein patents, mechanical device patents.

Ray graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law and the University of California, San Diego, where he majored in Molecular Biology. Ray is an active member of the Biotechnology Committee for the Intellectual Property Section of the American Bar Association. You may bump into Ray at a variety of meetings around San Diego or sushi restaurants.

Prior to pursuing patent law, Ray worked at the bench in academic research laboratories including the Medicine Department and the University of California, San Diego and industrial research laboratories including NovaDx, Inc. and Proteomix, Inc. where he became familiar with a variety of technologies. Ray is a contributing author on five research papers (listed below).

Ray is admitted to practice law in state of California, and before Federal Courts of the Southern District of California. Ray is also a Registered Patent Agent before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
